My clinical practice covers surgery of both the hip and knee, with my main sub-specialty interest being primary total hip replacement, including complex and revision hip replacement. I also perform total and partial (unicompartmental) knee replacements.

I graduated from University College London Medical School in 2009. My undergraduate training included a First Class BSc in Orthopaedic Science at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore in 2006. Both my core surgical and specialist orthopaedic training were completed in the East Midlands rotation, including Nottingham and Derby.

I have completed fellowship training in both hip and knee revision surgery at Nottingham City Hospital, and have also undertaken a traveling fellowship to Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL to visit Dr. Wayne Paprosky, one of the pioneers of modern revision hip surgery.

I have multiple publications in peer-reviewed, international orthopaedic journals, and have presented at both national and international conferences. I am actively involved with teaching surgical trainees, allied health professionals, and medical students, and I am the undergraduate lead at Peterborough City Hospital for the University of Leicester.

My current NHS practice is based at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, comprising both Peterborough City Hospital and at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, where I regularly co-chair a fortnightly hip and knee revision meeting and provide my colleagues with advice and guidance regarding planned complex primary and revision hip procedures. I also run a periprosthetic fracture service, managing patients with complex fractures around hip and knee replacements. I have a keen interest in day case hip and knee surgery, and I am currently developing a pathway to introduce this service at Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) and the British Hip Society (BHS).

My private practice is exclusively based at the Fitzwilliam Hospital, Peterborough.
Why I Specialise in Both Hip & Knee Replacement
In orthopaedics, the hip and knee are not isolated parts; they are a connected mechanical chain. Stiffness in the hip often forces the knee to twist, and poor knee alignment can destabilize the hip.
Unlike surgeons who focus on a single joint in isolation, my dual expertise allows me to assess your entire gait and biomechanics. I don't just treat the X-ray; I treat the way you walk. Whether it is Robotic Knee Surgery or Muscle-Sparing Hip Replacement, my goal is to restore the natural harmony of your lower limb function.
