Do I need a referral to make an appointment?

Most insurance companies will require a GP or physiotherapist referral letter before authorising any treatment. If you are paying for your own treatment, then a referral is not necessary although in general it is preferred. It is recommended that you contact your insurance company before your first consultation to confirm that they will cover the costs of any investigations and/or treatment.

Do I need to have private medical insurance?

No. There are an increasing number of people who are choosing to pay for their own treatment. A quotation is available on request for the most commonly performed hip and knee procedures.

Are you covered by all insurance companies?

I am recognised by all of the major insurance companies. All insurance policies are different however, and we recommend that you check with your insurance company regarding the treatment you would like to be covered for.

How much do you charge for an appointment?

For self-funded consultations, the fees are as follows:
£250 for an initial consultation and £125 for a follow-up consultation.

What should I do in an emergency?
